Saint John's Department of Radiation Oncology is nationally renowned for providing the highest quality, comprehensive care to cancer patients. Formerly located within Saint John's Health Center, the radiation oncology department now occupies a brand new, free-standing facility featuring the latest in cutting-edge radiation therapy. Designed as a state-of-the-art outpatient facility, it is located on the hospital's south campus at 2042 Santa Monica Blvd., near the corner of 21st Street, and offers patients the added convenience of easy access and ample, drive-up/walk-in parking.
We provide our patients with the most technically advanced radiation therapy treatments available to treat the whole range of common cancers. Our radiation treatment equipment generates more precisely directed beams of radiation that are delivered in a very brief period of time. This further enhances the curative treatment of tumors and reduces side effects. Using this latest technology, called IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy), we can now treat cancer patients with greater precision and speed than previously available.
At Saint John's, our mission is to provide state-of-the-art radiation therapy, combining the newest technologies with the skills of our expert radiation oncology team to meet your individualized needs. We also believe in the importance of caring for the whole patient, placing an emphasis on providing for both your physical and emotional comfort throughout the course of treatment.
We invite you to tour our website to learn more about the many patient services available, including IMRT, Prostate Seed Implants, Brachytherapy, image guided radiation, partial breast irradiation and 3-D Conformal Radiation. We also encourage you to ask questions and become an active participant in your care, or the care of a loved one. If you would like to speak with us directly, please contact Saint John's Department of Radiation Oncology at 310-829-8913 or visit How to Contact Us to learn more about making an appointment for a consultation.
