I Want to Make a Gift to Saint John's
The Saint John’s Health Center Foundation, a 501 (C)(3) corporation, receives gifts of cash, securities, personal property and real estate to support health center programs and services, capital projects, research initiatives and advanced technology, nursing, as well as an endowment for future generations.
Contributing stocks or other appreciated assets to Saint John's can increase the value of your gift and reduce your taxes. Donating appreciated stock or property to Saint John's enables you to deduct the fair market value of the investment asset while avoiding paying capital gains tax. If your investment has decreased in value, sell it and contribute the proceeds to Saint John's. This way, you will receive both a charitable gift deduction and a capital loss deduction. Your gift to Saint John's is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please be sure to consult with your tax advisor.
