I began working at Saint John's 3 years ago by the recommendation of a close family friend who is also a nurse here. I needed to get experience in the clinical setting because I was previously an Elementary School Nurse straight out of nursing school. The orientation team at the time really impressed me and I immediately made close relationships with my peers on the Ortho Unit. I believe certain hospital staff took me under their wings, although working on the floor unit can be challenging as a RN. It was the support of my management and peers that helped me to gain knowledge in the professional/clinical setting. The teamwork and peers support at Saint John's continues to be very meaningful and essential to me.
