The Spiritual Care department helps patients and their families with spiritual, emotional, psychological and social needs during illness, injury or loss.

Chaplains are available to all patients. The Spiritual Care department at Saint John's Health Center consists of two full-time board-certified chaplains, one full-time Sister of Charity of Leavenworth, a full-time Priest chaplain, and a part-time rabbi. Patients may request assistance in contacting the community clergy or spiritual care provider of their choice.

Mass is offered Monday through Friday at 12:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Mass is broadcast on channels 3 or 31 for those patients unable to come to the Chapel. All visitors are welcome to spend time in the Prayer Room in the Chan Soon-Shiong Center on the first floor.

The Spiritual Care department is an integral part of the mission of Saint John's Health Center which states: "We will, in the spirit of the Sisters of Charity, reveal God's healing love by improving the health of the individuals and communities we serve, especially those who are poor and vulnerable."
